Privacy

No data. None.

Last updated:

MR Stash does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no trackers, and no telemetry. That is the whole policy - the rest of this page just explains what that means in practice.

We don't collect anything, and we never will. If that ever changed, it would require a new version of this policy and a new version of the app - your existing install keeps behaving exactly as it does today.

What we collect

Nothing. MR Stash runs on your headset and talks to the web pages and servers you choose to open. We don't run analytics, we don't assign you an ID, and we don't phone home.

Your browsing

MR Stash is a web browser, so it loads the sites and video sources you navigate to. Those requests go directly from your headset to the sites you visit - they don't pass through us, and we never see them. Any history, bookmarks, or settings the app keeps stay on your device.

Your Stash server

The companion plugin and native Stash browser communicate directly between your headset and your own Stash server. Your library, your tags, and your media never touch our infrastructure - we don't have any servers in that path to begin with.

Third parties

When you open a website or stream a video, that third party may have its own data practices, governed by their policies rather than ours. The platforms that distribute the app - the Meta Quest store and Steam - handle your purchase and install, and their privacy policies cover that transaction:

Children

MR Stash is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone - including children - because we don't collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top will change with it. Because the app collects nothing, any future change would be an addition described plainly here first, never a quiet switch.
